Setting off on an adventure

Our photo safari in Tanzania begins with preparation and anticipation of what awaits us. From planning equipment to choosing the best routes, every detail is carefully considered to ensure it is your personal photography adventure. We don’t chase from one hotspot to the next with too many people, but rather carefully stalk the best photo opportunities – and Tanzania has plenty of them.

Tanzania is the country of fantastic photo opportunities

Tanzania offers a breathtaking variety of photo motifs for photographers with different interests. The endless expanse of the Serengeti with its majestic wild animals, such as lions and elephants, fascinates with epic natural scenes – both large (Big 5) and small (Little 5). Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain, provides a dramatic backdrop for landscape photographs. Or how about a trip to the Ngorongoro Crater with its unique wildlife?

The exotic spice islands of Zanzibar delight with colorful street markets and beautiful beaches. Maybe you’re also drawn to the small neighboring island of Mafia Island; it is more original and hardly developed for tourism.

The Maasai offer photographers captivating portrait motifs in their traditional costumes. In total there are over 130 ethnic groups to discover in Tanzania. And then there are the incredible sunrises and sunsets…

Your photo safari in Tanzania – individual as you are

You, alone or with a team of like-minded people, determine the time frame and the route – by choosing your desired motifs. With our knowledge of Tanzania’s nature and culture as well as the optimal lighting conditions for good photos, we plan your individual photo adventure. We speak the language of the photographer.

In our hunt for the best photo opportunities, no hour is too early or too late and no wait is too long. This means: We do NOT adhere to the lodge’s meal times, but of course we ensure that there is sufficient food during the photo safari in Tanzania. This means: We take our time and wait until the giraffe is at the waterhole exactly in the way that is right for you. This is the only way to create the perfect picture.

Magical moments – special photo opportunities

  • Witness the Great Migration: A highlight for many travelers to Tanzania is undoubtedly observing the impressive animal migration in the Serengeti. Millions of wildebeest and zebra cross the plains in search of fresh grass, while predators such as lions and cheetahs wait patiently for their chance. The spectacle of this natural migration is as overwhelming as it is difficult to put into words. Sometimes pictures say more than 1000 words.
  • Sunset over the savannahs: The Serengeti is also known for its breathtaking sunsets. The warm light bathes the endless grasslands in a golden glow, while the wildlife in the distance slowly comes to rest. A moment like this requires special photographic skills to capture the magic of that moment.
  • Wildlife Encounters: A photography safari in Tanzania offers a unique opportunity to experience Tanzania’s majestic wildlife up close. With telephoto lenses and a lot of patience, you’re sure to be able to take fascinating portraits of lions, elephants, giraffes and many other inhabitants of this wild landscape.
  • Meeting the Maasai: Not only the wildlife but also the culture of Tanzania is impressive. For example, would you like to visit the Maasai people, learn more about their way of life and capture their culture in beautiful portraits?

We take responsibility

During our photo safaris in Tanzania, we always make sure to respect nature and wildlife, but also culture. We follow the principles of sustainable tourism, are committed to animal and environmental protection in Tanzania and are also committed to social issues with the Guruguru charity project “Affair of the Heart”. It is our duty to preserve the beauty of Tanzania – the wildlife, nature and its culture.
