Full Itinerary
Day1: Dar Es’ Salaam – Selous Game Reserve
Early morning at 0800hrs pickup from your hotel in Dar Es Salaam and drive to Selous Game Reserve. You will have picnic lunch on the way and the journey will take about 5hours through the most unexplored and untouched areas in Tanzania. In the afternoon embark on boat safari, where you’ll admire hippos and crocodiles in their natural habitat. Meals and overnight will be at Ngalawa Camp. Meals Plan: Lunch & Dinner.
Day2: Full day game drive inside Selous game reserve
Breakfast in your accommodation followed by full day game drives in the reserve. Selous is a home to large population of elephant, big number of buffalo and wild dog. Other species commonly seen are lion, bushbuck, impala, giraffe, eland, baboon, zebra, Kudus and Crocodile. Dinner and overnight will be at the Ngalawa Camp Meals Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day3: Selous Game reserve – Mikumi National Park
After breakfast, walking safaris, the most exciting experience, unique in Tanzania, accompanied by rangers armed for about two hours there after proceed with game viewing en-route to Mikumi National park on the way enjoying the land scape. All meals at Mikumi Bush Camp or Mikumi bandas, Meals Plan; Breakfast & Lunch.
Day4: Mikumi National Park Full Day
Morning after breakfast, full day game viewing in the park. The Mikumi flood plain is the main feature of the park along with the bordering mountain ranges. Animals commonly found here include lion, eland, hartebeest, buffalo, wildebeest, giraffe, zebra, hippo and elephant. The Mikumi elephants are mainly grazers and do not causes damage. Dinner and overnight will be at Mikumi Bush Camp / Mikumi Bandas / Cottages.
Day5: Mikumi National Park – Dar Es Salaam
After breakfast visit Maasai Village near the park to see and enjoy their life, there after depart to Dar Es salaam where we will end up our tour.

What to expect on adventure camping Classic safari
- You will stay in public campsites, located inside the park or on private campsites on the outskirts
- The campsites in the parks are not fenced and it is not unlikely that you may find elephants wandering between the tents or bump into antelopes on your way to the shower.
- Accommodation will be in waterproof 2-person-tents (2.5m x 2.5m and 1.8m high) with built-in mosquito nets at the entrances and windows. Comfortable 5 cm thick sleeping mattresses are provided
- You will also be accompanied by a skilled safari cook who will take care of your well-being. He will prepare all meals, often even including a packed meal for a picnic lunch. Early morning eggs and sausages, coffee and bread, snacks and evenings with stews and salads,Guruguru Safaris’s chef can create delicious 3-course meals with only a gas cooker
