The Serengeti from a bird’s eye view

“The reason birds can fly and we can’t is simply because they have perfect faith, for to have faith is to have wings. (Sir James Matthew Barrie)

We want to take off with you – in a hot air balloon over the beautiful African savannah in the center of the Serengeti – called Seronera. This region is a wildlife hotspot and protects the Big Five, among many other species, in a special way.

Breathtaking (over)view

The balloon safari gives you a unique overview of the wildlife. This is because it is the only way to get a bird’s eye view, as drones are not permitted on the Serengeti Plains. You can get very close to the animals because we are allowed to lower the hot air balloon up to three meters above the ground. And as often as we have experienced this ourselves: It is always spectacular to take to the skies and enjoy this breathtaking view of the Serengeti.

The adventure begins

The adventure begins with an early morning wake-up call at 4 am. Then it’s off to the launch site in the safari vehicle – a journey that already promises many interesting impressions.

Getting into the basket is also unusual: when you enter the hot air balloon, it is first placed on the ground so that you have to lie down. Once the air in the balloon has warmed up and you are perfectly secured, the starting signal is given for your unique flight.
