Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport – Transfer to Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our safari representative and professional driver-guide. After a short briefing, you will be transferred to Arusha for relaxation after your international flight.
Depending on your arrival time, you may rest at the hotel, enjoy the facilities, and prepare for your Ndutu calving season safari adventure starting the next day.

Day 2: Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park – Karatu
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park with packed lunch boxes. The park is located at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment and is known for its groundwater forest, lake views, elephants, baboons, hippos, giraffes, and rich birdlife.
Enjoy a game drive through the park before continuing to Karatu in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight. This stop places you closer to the route toward Ndutu and the Ngorongoro highlands.

Day 3: Karatu – Ndutu Region
After breakfast, depart for the Ndutu region, one of the best areas for the wildebeest calving season. The drive takes you through scenic highlands and open plains before reaching the seasonal grazing areas where large herds gather during this special time of year.
Upon arrival, enjoy game viewing en route as you continue toward your lodge. During calving season, Ndutu is known for newborn wildebeest calves, large zebra herds, and strong predator activity from lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and jackals.

Day 4: Full-Day Game Drive in Ndutu
Today is dedicated to a full-day game drive in the Ndutu region. After breakfast, depart with packed lunch boxes and spend the day exploring the open plains, woodland areas, and seasonal lake surroundings.
The Ndutu calving season offers excellent opportunities to see migration herds, newborn calves, and predator-prey interactions. Your guide will follow the movement of the herds and recent sightings to maximize your wildlife experience.

Day 5: Ndutu – Ngorongoro Crater Safari
After breakfast, depart Ndutu with packed lunch boxes and drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arrival, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive on the crater floor.
The crater is one of Tanzania’s most rewarding wildlife areas, with a high concentration of animals throughout the year. You may see lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, jackals, and, with luck, the rare black rhino. Later in the afternoon, ascend the crater walls and proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Ngorongoro – Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park with packed lunch boxes. Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, seasonal swamps, and the Tarangire River, which attracts wildlife during the dry season.
Enjoy a full-day game drive through the park with chances to see elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, impalas, buffaloes, and many bird species. Later in the evening, proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Full-Day Game Drive in Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, return to Tarangire National Park for another full day of wildlife viewing. This extra day allows you to explore different areas of the park and enjoy better chances for unique sightings.
Tarangire is one of the best parks in northern Tanzania for elephant photography, baobab scenery, predators, and birdlife. After your game drive, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Tarangire – Arusha – Kilimanjaro International Airport

After lunch, continue to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight. This marks the end of your 8-day Ndutu Calving Season Safari.
