The intermediary is also responsible for ensuring that traveler information supplied to Guruguru Safaris is accurate and complete.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Guruguru Safaris may treat the person making the booking as the principal contact for the group.
7. Prices and Quotations
Prices are provided in the currency stated in the quotation or invoice.
A quotation may include accommodation, transportation, park fees, meals, guide services, activities, taxes, and other services specifically stated in the itinerary.

Any bank charges, transfer fees, intermediary banking fees, or currency conversion charges imposed by the Client’s bank may be the responsibility of the Client unless otherwise agreed.
9. Deposits and Balance Payments
The required deposit and balance payment schedule will be stated in the quotation or booking confirmation.
Where a booking requires a deposit, the deposit secures the agreed travel arrangements subject to availability and the applicable cancellation terms.
The remaining balance must be paid by the deadline stated in the booking confirmation.
Failure to make the required balance payment by the agreed deadline may result in cancellation of the booking and the application of the applicable cancellation charges.
10. Cancellation by the Client
A Client wishing to cancel a booking must notify Guruguru Safaris in writing.
The applicable cancellation charges will depend on:
- The date on which the cancellation is received.
- The type and value of the booking.
- Accommodation cancellation policies.
- Airline or transport cancellation policies.
- National park and conservation authority charges.
- Third-party supplier cancellation policies.
- Any non-refundable payments already made by Guruguru Safaris.
The cancellation terms applicable to a specific booking will be communicated in the quotation, invoice, or booking confirmation where applicable.
Where third-party suppliers impose non-refundable charges, Guruguru Safaris may deduct those charges from any amount otherwise refundable to the Client.
Bank charges and transaction fees associated with refunds may also be deducted where applicable.
Clients are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, interruption, medical emergencies, evacuation, baggage loss, delays, and other foreseeable travel risks.
11. Cancellation by Guruguru Safaris
Guruguru Safaris reserves the right to cancel or substantially modify a trip where circumstances make it impossible, unsafe, unlawful, or commercially impractical to operate the planned itinerary.
Such circumstances may include government restrictions, park closures, severe weather, natural disasters, civil unrest, security concerns, major transportation disruptions, supplier failures, or other events beyond the reasonable control of Guruguru Safaris.
Where Guruguru Safaris cancels a trip for reasons within its reasonable control, the company will communicate the available options to the Client and, where applicable, process refunds in accordance with the booking terms.
Where cancellation results from force majeure or circumstances outside the reasonable control of Guruguru Safaris, refunds shall be handled after consideration of amounts already committed to third-party suppliers and the specific terms applicable to the booking.
12. Changes to the Itinerary by the Client
Requests to change an itinerary must be submitted to Guruguru Safaris as early as possible.
Changes may include:
- Changing travel dates.
- Changing accommodation.
- Adding or removing activities.
- Changing the number of travelers.
- Extending or shortening the trip.
- Changing destinations.
- Changing room categories.
Guruguru Safaris will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requested changes.
Any additional costs resulting from a Client-requested change shall be payable by the Client.
Where a change results in a reduction in the value of the trip, any refund shall depend on the applicable cancellation and supplier policies.
13. Changes to the Itinerary by Guruguru Safaris
Guruguru Safaris makes reasonable efforts to operate trips according to the confirmed itinerary.
However, safari and mountain travel takes place in natural environments and may be affected by weather, road conditions, wildlife movements, park regulations, accommodation availability, flight schedules, government decisions, and other factors.
Guruguru Safaris may therefore make reasonable changes to an itinerary where necessary for safety, operational reasons, availability, or circumstances outside its reasonable control.
Where practical, Guruguru Safaris will notify the Client of significant changes and seek to provide a suitable alternative.
A change to an itinerary does not automatically constitute a breach of contract where the change is reasonably necessary and the company makes reasonable efforts to preserve the overall value and purpose of the trip.
14. Accommodation
Accommodation is provided according to the category and property specified in the confirmed itinerary.
Accommodation availability may occasionally require a change of property because of operational issues, overbooking, closure, maintenance, seasonal restrictions, or other circumstances.
Where a confirmed accommodation provider becomes unavailable, Guruguru Safaris will make reasonable efforts to arrange alternative accommodation of a comparable standard.
Accommodation facilities, room layouts, meals, services, and amenities may differ between properties.
Specific room requests, including connecting rooms, specific views, beds, or special facilities, are subject to availability and cannot always be guaranteed.
15. Safari Transportation
Safari transportation is generally provided using vehicles suitable for the relevant terrain and itinerary.
Safari vehicles may experience dust, vibration, uneven roads, long driving distances, and other conditions associated with travel in national parks and remote areas.
Travel times shown in itineraries are estimates and may change because of road conditions, wildlife, traffic, weather, park regulations, or other circumstances.
The Client agrees to follow reasonable instructions provided by the driver-guide regarding vehicle safety and conduct.
16. Wildlife and Natural Environment
Wild animals are unpredictable and operate according to their natural behavior.
Guruguru Safaris cannot guarantee sightings of any particular animal, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, rhinoceroses, or specific migration events.
The location and movement of wildlife may change from day to day.
Clients must follow instructions from their guide and comply with national park and conservation authority regulations.
Clients must not leave a safari vehicle, approach wildlife, feed animals, harass wildlife, or engage in conduct that may endanger themselves, other travelers, guides, or animals.
17. National Parks and Conservation Areas
All visitors must comply with the rules and regulations of the relevant national parks, conservation areas, game reserves, wildlife authorities, and other government or conservation bodies.
Park fees, conservation fees, crater fees, permits, camping fees, and other mandatory charges may be subject to change by the relevant authorities.
Guruguru Safaris is not responsible for decisions made independently by government or conservation authorities.
18. Kilimanjaro and Mountain Trekking
Mountain trekking involves inherent risks, including altitude sickness, exhaustion, dehydration, hypothermia, falls, injuries, adverse weather, rockfall, difficult terrain, and other physical or environmental hazards.
Clients participating in Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru, Ol Doinyo Lengai, or other mountain activities must understand and accept these inherent risks.
Guruguru Safaris may require a Client to discontinue or modify an activity where the guide or responsible staff member reasonably considers continued participation unsafe.
A Client who voluntarily leaves a mountain expedition is responsible for additional transportation, accommodation, evacuation, or other costs arising from the decision, unless otherwise required by applicable law or caused by Guruguru Safaris’ negligence.
No summit achievement is guaranteed.
19. Medical Conditions and Fitness
Clients are responsible for determining whether they are physically and medically capable of participating in their chosen activities.
Clients should disclose relevant medical conditions, allergies, dietary restrictions, disabilities, mobility limitations, or other information that may materially affect the safe operation of the trip.
For mountain trekking and physically demanding activities, Clients should seek appropriate medical advice before travel.
Guruguru Safaris may require a Client to discontinue an activity if continuing presents a reasonable safety concern.
20. Children and Minors
Children may participate in safari and travel programs subject to the requirements of the relevant accommodation providers, national parks, activity providers, and applicable laws.
A parent or legal guardian is responsible for minors traveling with the group.
Parents or guardians must ensure that children follow the instructions of Guruguru Safaris guides, accommodation providers, park authorities, and activity operators.
Certain activities may have minimum age requirements imposed by law, park authorities, accommodation providers, or third-party operators.
21. Travel Documents and Visas
The Client is responsible for ensuring that they possess valid travel documents required for their trip.
This includes, where applicable:
- A valid passport.
- Appropriate visas.
- Entry permits.
- Transit visas.
- Vaccination or health documentation where legally required.
- Travel insurance.
- Any other documents required by immigration, airline, government, or destination authorities.
Guruguru Safaris may provide general travel information but does not guarantee that a Client will be granted a visa, entry permit, or admission into Tanzania or another destination.
The Client is responsible for verifying current requirements with the relevant authorities before travel.
22. Flights and Flight Delays
Where flights are included in or arranged as part of a trip, the flight is subject to the airline’s terms and conditions.
Guruguru Safaris is not responsible for airline delays, cancellations, baggage loss, missed connections, schedule changes, or other circumstances caused by the airline.
Where a flight disruption causes additional accommodation, transportation, meals, or other expenses, the Client may be responsible for such expenses unless the applicable supplier terms or insurance provide otherwise.
23. Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is strongly recommended for every Client.
For mountain trekking and adventure activities, insurance should provide appropriate coverage for medical treatment and emergency evacuation.
Travel insurance should also, where possible, cover:
- Trip cancellation.
- Trip interruption.
- Medical expenses.
- Emergency evacuation.
- Repatriation.
- Lost or delayed baggage.
- Flight delays and cancellations.
- Personal liability.
- Other risks relevant to the Client’s itinerary.
Guruguru Safaris is not an insurance provider and does not replace the Client’s need to obtain appropriate insurance.
24. Personal Belongings
Clients are responsible for their passports, money, electronic devices, luggage, cameras, documents, jewelry, and other personal belongings.
Guruguru Safaris is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings except to the extent liability cannot legally be excluded.
Clients should use hotel safes or other appropriate security facilities where available.
25. Photography and Media
Guruguru Safaris may take photographs or videos during tours for operational, promotional, or marketing purposes.
Where a Client does not wish to appear in promotional material, they may communicate this preference to Guruguru Safaris.
Guruguru Safaris will make reasonable efforts to respect such requests.
Clients are also responsible for respecting the privacy of other travelers, local communities, guides, and staff when taking or publishing photographs or videos.
26. Responsible and Sustainable Tourism
Guruguru Safaris supports responsible tourism practices and encourages Clients to respect Tanzania’s natural environment, wildlife, cultural heritage, and local communities.
Clients are expected to:
- Respect wildlife and park regulations.
- Avoid littering.
- Avoid damaging plants, habitats, or cultural sites.
- Respect local customs and communities.
- Follow responsible waste-disposal practices.
- Avoid purchasing illegal wildlife products.
- Follow the instructions of guides and conservation authorities.
Off-road driving, wildlife harassment, feeding animals, or other prohibited conduct may result in immediate termination of an activity without refund where the Client’s conduct causes the termination.
27. Third-Party Suppliers
Certain services may be provided by independent third parties, including hotels, lodges, camps, airlines, ferry operators, activity providers, restaurants, and other service providers.
Guruguru Safaris will make reasonable efforts to select reliable suppliers.
However, third-party suppliers remain responsible for the services they directly provide, subject to applicable law and their own contractual terms.
Where Guruguru Safaris acts as an intermediary for a third-party service, the relevant supplier’s terms may also apply.
28. Force Majeure
Guruguru Safaris shall not be liable for failure, delay, interruption, or modification of services caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

Where such circumstances occur, Guruguru Safaris will make reasonable efforts to assist the Client and provide appropriate alternatives where possible.
29. Liability
Guruguru Safaris will provide its services with reasonable care and skill.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Guruguru Safaris shall not be responsible for losses arising from circumstances outside its reasonable control or from the acts or omissions of independent third-party suppliers.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
Clients are responsible for complying with reasonable instructions provided by Guruguru Safaris staff, guides, accommodation providers, park authorities, and other service providers.
30. Client Conduct
Clients are expected to behave respectfully and responsibly throughout their trip.
Guruguru Safaris may terminate participation in a tour where a Client:
- Endangers themselves or others.
- Threatens, abuses, or harasses staff, guides, suppliers, or other travelers.
- Damages property.
- Violates park or government regulations.
- Engages in illegal activities.
- Repeatedly refuses reasonable safety instructions.
- Behaves in a manner that materially disrupts the trip.
In such circumstances, the Client may be required to leave the tour and may be responsible for any resulting transportation, accommodation, or other costs.
31. Complaints
If a Client experiences a problem during a trip, they should report it to the Guruguru Safaris guide, trip coordinator, or management team as soon as reasonably possible.
Early notification provides Guruguru Safaris with an opportunity to investigate the issue and attempt to resolve it during the trip.
Where a complaint cannot be resolved during the trip, the Client should submit the complaint to Guruguru Safaris in writing after returning from the trip.
Complaints should include relevant booking information and sufficient details for Guruguru Safaris to investigate the matter.
32. Privacy and Personal Information
Guruguru Safaris may collect and process personal information necessary to provide travel services, communicate with Clients, process bookings, arrange accommodation and transportation, process payments, comply with legal obligations, and improve its services.

Guruguru Safaris makes reasonable efforts to ensure that information published on its website is accurate and current.
However, photographs, descriptions, wildlife information, travel times, prices, availability, accommodation information, and other website content may change.
Website content should not be interpreted as a guarantee that a particular animal will be seen, a particular weather condition will occur, or a particular accommodation, route, or activity will be available.
The confirmed quotation and itinerary shall govern the Client’s specific trip.
34. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, website content belonging to Guruguru Safaris, including text, photographs, graphics, logos, branding, itineraries, and other materials, is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Such content may not be copied, reproduced, republished, distributed, modified, or commercially exploited without prior written permission from Guruguru Safaris.
35. Fraud and Unauthorized Payments
Clients should be cautious of fraudulent communications claiming to represent Guruguru Safaris.
Guruguru Safaris will not be responsible for payments made to unauthorized individuals, fraudulent websites, or accounts that have not been confirmed through official Guruguru Safaris communication channels.
If a Client receives a suspicious request for payment or a change in banking details, the Client should independently verify the request with Guruguru Safaris using the official contact details published on the company’s website.

Where a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, it may be referred to the appropriate courts or legally recognized dispute-resolution mechanisms in Tanzania having jurisdiction over the matter.
37. Amendments to These Terms
Guruguru Safaris may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in its services, legal requirements, operational practices, or supplier arrangements.
The version applicable to a Client’s booking will generally be the version communicated or applicable at the time the booking is confirmed, unless a subsequent change is required by law or expressly agreed by the parties.
38. Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is determined to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
39. Entire Agreement
